“I shaved more than 10 minutes off my time from last year, and I am not beat up like last year.  Thanks Tracy, for your great guidance and coaching.”

"If you want to be a successful runner, you have to consider everything. It's no good just thinking about endurance and not to develop fine speed."

Arthur Lydiard

During a Running Gait Analysis with TracyPealSpeed, we will observe you walking or running on a track or treadmill, looking in particular at your feet, ankles, knees and hips. Using high-speed video and Dartfish motion capture analysis software, we will record and analyze your movement through your gait cycle. Slow motion and freeze frames are used to carefully assess your running or walking style.

Many injuries are often caused, at least in part, by poor biomechanics. Runners and athletes whose sports require a high level of running and jumping should make sure they have a gait analysis, learn proper movement patterns, and use proper footwear to avoid injuries. Problems may also be caused by structural skeleto-muscular imbalances or impingements.   TracyPealSpeed works with experts in the fields of sports medicine, physiotherapy, podiatry, Active Release Technique and massage to fully treat whatever biomechanical, structural or injury issue an athlete is facing.

The following are a list of common overuse injuries associated with poor gait biomechanics that can be corrected starting with a Gait Analysis:

•Shin Splints

•Plantar fasciitis

•Iliotibial band syndrome (runners knee)

•Patella tendonitis (jumpers knee)

•Patello-femoral knee pain

•Achilles tendonitis

•Lower back pain
